What We’re All About

Being a mom is one of the greatest blessings in the world, and quite possibly, one of the hardest!  In 2017, my husband and I moved to Oklahoma with our 2 young children, and one on the way.  I did not know a single soul!  My husband was working a lot of hours at his job, and as you can imagine, I felt very alone.  I felt lost.   

With much encouragement from my husband, I attended a mom's group at my local Catholic church.  The women were so welcoming to me!  They provided me the community that I so desperately needed.  When my son was born, moms (some who I barely knew!) were showing up on my doorstep with dinner.  They understood the hardships of motherhood.  They understood the beauty of our Catholic faith.  They shared a mutual desire of striving for holiness and raising our children to know, love, and serve God.  In short, these women were an answered prayer!

I want you to have this too!  We desperately need community.   We need a way to cultivate true and lasting friendships...the kind of friendships where you can be truly authentic and share your Catholic faith.  But, let's be honest...starting a mom's group can be overwhelming!  We're busy moms!  We count it as a win if we get to shower (and bonus points if your kids aren't trying to houdini their way into the bathroom at the same time!)

Our goal at Feasting In Cana, is to serve as a resource for those wanting to start a Catholic mom's group.  This is a place to share ideas!  I want to make it as easy as possible for you to start your own group.  If you are already a part of a group, it is my hope that we can exchange fresh ideas and  encourage one another.  So, if you haven't already, head over to our community page and see what other Catholic moms groups are doing.  Or, check out the blog to get some fresh ideas.   It is my sincere hope that Feasting In Cana will be what my Mom's Group was to me...an answered prayer.
